The Team
Driven by his enthusiasm for exercise and an
eagerness to learn the theory behind training, Ben left St Martin's
College, Lancaster in 2007 with a 2:1 degree in sport and exercise
science. Having already worked during pre-season
training with Oldham Athletic Football Club gaining vital
experience, Ben moved on a permanent basis to Macclesfield Town
Football Club in the summer of 2007. During his year at the
club Ben progressed onto being solely responsible for the provision
of sport science support to the entire organisation. However,
following relocation to Cardiff with his family Ben diverted his
attention to those who needed help the most, the general
public. Now running Fit4Ever Ben has recently qualified as an
advanced functional trainer and enjoys the day to day challenge of
working in the fitness and leisure industry.
Upon graduating from UWIC in 2001 (with a 2:1 in Applied Human
Nutrition and Dietetics) Helen started work at the Royal Gwent
hospital in Newport working as a dietitian in Adult medicine
and surgery, most notably launching a weight loss campaign on Red
Dragon FM in 2003. In 2006 Helen specialised in paediatric
gastroenterology, allergy and obesity, but still
continued seeing overweight adults in private practice and
working in Bariatric surgery at BUPA in
2007. As a keen runner Helen's true passion lies in
sport and is currently enrolled at Coventry University in
preparation to becoming a registered sports dietitian.
